Adventure North Resort

Walleye   This past week the walleye bite has still been strong, evenings have been consistantly great.  Most of the fish being brought in are caught on leeches and a jig anchored in about 11 feet of water right off Pine Point.  I’ve also seen quite a few caught on shad raps.

Northern I’ve cleaned quite a few northern the last couple days most 4-5 Lbs.  We carry chubs in the bait shop for those big northern.

We have had guests all week and they have been catching ‘em out on the water.  Fishing Pine Point, staying close to the resort in stronger winds in about 8′ of water.  The latest bait presentation, a Lindy Rig with a leech or shiner while drifting on the west side of Goose Island, Big Hardwoods and Pine Point has been producing the walleyes. 

About 50% are keepers, and the guests are getting their bag limit, 4 walleye a day.  Good eating!
